Food Gossip 19 : Daidomon Japanese BBQ Restaurant

For beef lovers, you must try this! For those who are not, you can always try other choices too.

You can help yourself with a limited selections at the buffet line. Otherwise, you can order main dishes from the menu.

I ordered the hotate ( scallop), Kaki butter ( oyster with butter), Shake ( salmon), Gyu Sashi ( Thinly Sliced raw beef), Tan ( Ox Tongue), Honetsuki ( Bone in Short Rib), Dachou (boneless ostrict meat).

For the first time, i tried the beef sashimi and also the Ox Tongue.
However, thumbs up to the food here. The meat are so tender and juicy after marinated for hours. After the raw meat is served on the table, then we can help ourself to bbq it in the wok, well done or medium done, it's all up to our preferences.

On Hong Encore Concert Live in Genting Highlands

Thanks Hew for the 2 complimentary tickets for On Hong Encore Concert.

I was late to this concert. I missed the first part of the concert. In fact, i was looking forward to hear them sing their famous songs from William So, i.e. 旧爱还是最美, 男人不该让女人流泪, 爱如狂潮 and so on. But, they sang others' songs.

They also talked a lot which i was not interested with. But, a lot of fans were crazy with them especially when William walked down to the crowd. Unfortunately, i was unable to have the lucky chance. The concert didn't end with a bang. After 1 encore song, they ended with a burst of confetti.

RED SKY_ Open Air at 55th Floor Bangkok

Bangkok is a beautiful city which offers a rich experience for dining, shopping and entertainment.

This round i wanted to try something new. No more dining in the tallest building in Bangkok - Boiyoke sky which is rising 88 storey (309meter) above the bangkok skyline. In fact, i wanted to look at the tallest building from other roof top.

This is it - RED SKY Restaurant which is located at 55th floor in Centara Grand at Central World Hotel. They offer chic urban bistro dining and lounging with breathtaking alfresco vistas of Bangkok.

The weather is cooling and the night view is fantastic! The food that we ordered is definitely fresh and delicious. Frankly speaking, the price is slightly expensive! For a plate of mixed grilled seafood, it cost Bht2955 ( exl 10% service charge and VAT 7%).

I must admit that nothing is perfect in this world. After the dinner, we thought of walking around the bar to have some photo shoots, but the heavy down pour drive us to move inside the restaurant.

To go to Central World, take BTS untill Chit Lom station, and take about 10 mins walking distance.

Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-kanak Istimewa Insan (PKII) KL

大马大爱脑伤症儿童基金协会
This event was organised by I-Choice online magazine. K-LINK as a main sponsor for one of their charity fund raising events. So that, we joined them for the visit.
Upon arrival, the person-in-charge, Ms Jacie welcomed us and tour us the place that the special kids live. According to her, there are about 80 special child. Most of them came from single parent, where else some were abandoned by their parents.Jacie introduced the kid one by one. There are three kids that catched my attention. First, the big body size, Kok. She impressed me with her overwhelming and friendly characters. Once she get down from the school bus, she rushed to us just to say "hi". Within 2 minutes, she appeared again with a casual pants and helping us to push the trolley back to the car.
An over-actived 14 years old girl, Jong. Her parents left her and never came back to see her again. She was chained inside a small room ( Please don't sue the center for child abuse). She likes to sabotaj any objects near her and attack other people. In other word, she is a "dangerous" kid.
Another boy named Cheh, he shown his talents in front of us.
This association's finance is mainly funded by donations or coming from the charity sales. i'm glad and impressed with the commitment and dedication shown by the staff and committee members of PKKII under the strong and able leadership of Dr. Collin Tiew.
According to Jacie, basically, they have enough rice, cooking oils, biscuits and so on supplied by generous parties. Fund is essential for them to run the center and to buy the kids fresh vege and meat. Each month, they need to spend around RM10,000 to make this center's operation runs smooth.
For those who like to visit the center or donations, your generosity is much highly appreciated.
