Bali : Ulun Danu Beratan Temple

We arrived Ulun Danu Temple at around 12.30 pm. There are many people dressed in white gathered inside the temple for a special worship. For women who have menstrua are not allowed to enter.
Women place offerings of flowers, eggs sugar, chicken, dogs, birds, plants and rice to God in thanks for their existence. The temple itself is adorned with ribbons and sashes of all colors symbolizing prosperity and protection from evil. The priests, in white, take turns leading the worship during the marathon prayer sessions that last late into the evenings.

Ulun Danu Temple is a Balinese Hindu temple which is located at Candi Kuning countryside northwestern part of Bali, in an elevation of 1239 meter above sea level. It is set at lakeside of Beratan with beautiful lake view and hills surround it. The name of Ulun Danu Beratan Temple is taken from the lake where the temple is built at Beratna Lake.
The ancient banyan tree in its courtyard. The whole complex is consist of 4 units each dedicated to spirit of Lingga Petak, and temporary abode gods.
It is situated in the plateau area with cool atmosphere surround it and hills as a backdrop. The weather is usually cool and fresh, bringing the calmness of nature closer and closer to the mind of whomever witnessing it. Therefore, I did something that no one will want to do it at that time, coz i feel like i can just sit here for the whole day admiring the beautiful lake scenery, and let the wind kisses my face.

So peaceful, so enjoy! by just sitting here...

After this, we have lunch and proceed to the next destination, which is Tanah Lot.
