the Making of Pumpkin Dessert

I like pumpkin dessert. My mum can make a good one.

1. Select a golden pumpkin from the market.
2. Boil the pumpkin in the hot water until it becomes soft and melty.
3. Remove the skin and blend the pumpkin with a blender.
4. In the mean time, prepare hot water.
5. Once everything is ready, pour the pumpkin into the hot water and cook for about 30 minutes. Do not let it unattended. Watch out for the fire.
6. At the end, mix with sugar and also sago.
7. Turn off the fire and let it cool down.
8. Serve best when it is cold.
9. Taste better when mix with 1 spoon of milk.

Lim Moi Kui Hills, Tawau

My uncle told me that he and the Hakka Hh members like to hike at Lim Moi Kui Hill. The name of the hill seem like a stranger to me. Therefore, i joined my uncle, together with my siblings. Gona find out what is so special about this place in Tawau.
According to my uncle, there are two routes. One is easier, another is tough. Guess what! i choose the simple one which required us to take one hour to reach the summit. There are a lot of pumpkins lying at the road side. I'm so excited to see it. Initially, i thought this was a watermelon, but in fact, that's was a huge pumpkin.
Half way towards the summit, we can view a sea of green oil palms trees, as well as partly of Tawau city. Unfortunately, we can't manage to reach the top due to the up coming soon down pour. We have to rush down the hill and back to the shelter.
It's fun!!

Yeh Lai Hiong Restaurant Tawau (夜来香)

在斗湖不怕找不到好吃的东西, 只怕胃口不够大, 吃不了那么多的美食. 在斗湖的日子, 一个人可以奢侈的享有一天五餐的权力.

大致上本地人都知道夜来香餐馆. 它的价钱和食物水准是不容质疑的.

Breakfast & Afternoon Tea in Tawau

1. Lobby cafe in Promenade Hotel, Tawau:

My uncle is strongly recommend that this cafe served the best cheese cake in town. For a try, we have our afternoon tea here.
Here are our orders: Green Tea cake, Coffee Cheese cake and also durian cheese cake. I personally like the coffee cheese cake. where else, the drinks served here are ordinary. It doesn't carry the strong aroma of latte or coffee.

2. Hai Chui Restaurant 海翠餐馆:
I think this is the only chinese restaurant which serve dim sum.

3. Mui Lok Kopitiam 美乐茶室 :
In Tawau, the locals like to meet up at the kopitiam not only for the tea and food, but also chit-chatting on all sort of topics from politic to entertainments.


I like the teh C and also the toast bread. This is because they put a thick layer of kaya and marjerin in the toast. You can't get this in KL, which only served with a thin layer of marjerin.

4. Kedai Kopi Boloi 宝来:
This shop is famous for its braised fish head and dumpling. Every body in Tawau knows it. Don't worry if you can't find the way, just ask the local.

Food Gossip: OLE OLE Bali & Restoran Chardin Seaview Village Port Dickson

Friends gathering at Ole-Ole Bali, Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall. We ordered one of the main course is the Ole-Ole Trio, which is a combination of Ole-Ole BBQ chicken wings, sate Lilit and cumi-cumi goreng, served with sambal matah, sambal terasi and tartar sauce.

I like Balinese food, due to the heavy taste from the Indonesia spice and herbs.
Restoran Chardin Seaview Village Port Dickson:
If you go to Pork Dickson, you can try to patron this seaview restaurant. They are famous for all type of crabs.
Thumbs up also to the steamed apple snails, with a special in-house made chili sauce.
I love the shark fin soup. I must give a 5-star to it. Why? Normaly, the shark fin soup that we tried have a less shark fin and carb meat. But, this is so much better. I guess, they charged RM20 per bowl is reasonable.

Happy Birthday at RakuZen, Desa Parkcity

生日也是母亲在生死边缘争扎的日子. 因此, 此日我应该庆祝我老一岁,还是应该庆祝母亲的伟大?

一年才吹一次生日蛋糕, 要吹得用心用力才好. 第一次品尝和牛, 肉不旦有弹性,而且放在口中时,香味慢慢散开在口腔, 然后细细品尝它的汁, 甜而新鲜! 让人回味无穷.

几片和牛肉送上来时还是生的, 我们可以自己决定它的熟度. 如果过分太熟就会糟蹋了和牛肉的味道, 因此牛肉要吃7分熟才可口. 就这几片和牛肉是RM68.

另外, 这一道Hotate Mentai (RM26+) 也不错, 浓脓芝士铺盖在蚝上, 然后烘出来的味道相当的香. 放人口时, 芝士味和蚝的味道各占优实. 反而, 以下两道就比较逊色, Saba 就带有腥味, 好吃的是Saba鱼肉应该香甜而不臭腥的. 而Soft Shell Crab (RM22++) 就太咸了, 而且炸得不够香脆.


好丰富的一餐, 希望天天可以吃的开心.

Legend Water Chalet, Port Dickson

Legend Water Chalet, Port Dickson:
Take a short break to Port Dickson, this is where i stay in Legend Water Chalet.
The Resort consists of 280 unique sea front resort rooms and 112 service suites facing the Straits of Malacca.
I'm so excited. This is because i thought that i can face the straits of Malacca from my room or the balcony. But, once i open the door, i saw only another block of water chalet. I guess, if i book a suite room, i should have a full seaview.


The resort is maintainaned very well, with the friendly staffs and clean environment. This is non-peak season, therefore, i can't see many tourists here, except a group of tourist from China.

I didn't put on my bikini and jump into the swimming pool. They have a outdoor hot and cold jaguzzi. Unfortunately, both are closed for maintainance. End up, i have to soak in the bathe tub inside the room. It's fun too, with a glass of red wine or sparkling juice.
During the breakfast at the coffee house, there is a small drama happened where a chinese lady complaint to the tour guide that she waited at the noodle/mee station for so long and yet no body attended to her. At the end, she had to blanch a bowl of noodles by herself. When the tourguide explained to her that this is a self-service counter, she still feel unsatisfied with it. She gone back to her seat with a sour face and mumbled sacastically to her husband: " What a 5-star hotel that required guest to make a bowl of noodle by ourself!".
