Food Gossip 5- Daintihill, Xenri Japanese, O'Viet Vietnamese

DainTihill, Pavillion KL:
代官山”新唐风时尚餐厅:

Thought of casual dining, but my friend asked me to suggest a better restaurant to dine in. Then this restaurant's name came across my mind.

I get to know this restaurant from the local magazine. They shown a lot of attractive photos in the advertorial page. Therefore, it raised my desire to try it.

That night, when my friend and i entered the outlet which is located at level 6, Pavillion KL Shopping Mall, there were less than 10 tables are occupied. The diners are able to dine in a romantic environment with warm lighting.

I like pumpkin soup very much. So i want to try it, where else my friend ordered the Prawn and brocoli consomme soup. So far, i found the best pumpkin soup in "Boiyoke Sky Restaurant" Bangkok.

Calamanis fragrant iced tea and barley mil tea at RM12.00 and RM10.00 respectively.
代官山的含义:
官人 : 形容风雅,智慧的男性
代娘 : 形容时尚,优雅的女性
官山 : 形容美好的未来,浪漫的情怀

Baked rice roll combo at RM32. This is really a huge size of "sushi". We can't finish it. It is not a right choice to order this dish. I don't like the one with tomato sauce on top.

Baked escargots at RM18.00. The escargots are served without the shell. The mould played its role like a serving tray. Each of the hole has a right size to place an escargot and covered with cheese. So far, the best baked escargots i have tried was in the Windmill Steak House, Subang.

Sauteed prawn and mixed fruits and also fried chicken noodle at RM16.00 each. Obviously, we ordered the wrong dishes.

The waiter saw that i love the creative coaster set, then he gave me one set of 4pcs for collection.

At the end, we can't finish the sushi. This dinner cost us about RM137.50 for 2 diners. I guess, its not worth it.

Xenri Japanese Restaurant, Old Klang Road :

My sister and i supposed to dine at Ninja Jones Jap. Restaurant, but they haven't open for dinner yet. So we changed our plan. Luckily, when we arrived Xenri, the chef allowed us to enter even though it's not time to serve dinner yet.

Xenri is a great place to dine in a Japanese atmosphere with serene sound of flowing water.Upon entering, we were greeted with the burnished warmth of bamboo plants, wood lacquered floor, elegant brown tables that will calm your senses.

Idako RM8

Hawaiian Roll at RM28.

The chef sliced the fresh salmons in front of us.

Shake Sashimi at RM26
Thumbs up to the food here. It's fantastic! But as for the price wise, it's slightly expensive.

O'Viet Vietnamese Cuisine, Sunway Shopping Mall:

Before we started our event set up in Sunway Convention Center, i suggested to fill up our stomach at the Vietnamese Restaurant in Sunway Shopping Mall first.
I ordered Lemongrass Chicken and lamb and three colour delight. I must agreed with myself, that i made a right choice.

Where else, Ivoy ordered the BBQ lemongrass chicken chop. I have no idea how it tastes coz i don't really fancy steak.
Beef Crisket stewed with rice at RM10.90.

Mixed grill platter with rice paper. This is a signature vietnamese dish served in most of the Vietnamese Restaurants. One can wrap the ingredients below into a rice paper and mixed with the special sauce.

While everyone is busy with their dinner. As usual, i was busy with my camera to snap the best shot of each individual.

Overall, the price is reasonable. The interior of the outlet is well decorated with modern concept. One thing for sure that they need to improve their service in order to train a group of friendly waiters.
