Our company's business advisor, Hj Shapiarudin invited us to attend his son's wedding in Dewan/ Pusat Komuniti Taman Ibu Kota on 06 Dec 2008.
Malay wedding preparation and ceremony is a very eventful and colorful day. During the bersanding ceremoy, the newly married couple will seat on the "pelamin" where they will be blessed with scented water, henna, sandalwood paste and rice flour paste. The bersanding publicly ratifies the union.
The bride and groom will feed each other with sweetened rice.
The bridal couple will be seated on the dais and sprinkled with yellow rice and scented water by family members, relatives and guests as sign of blessing. Each guest will receive a bunga telor which means " flower" and "egg" -a symbol of a fertile union.
Besides kenduri feast, there are other light entertainment, joget dance sessions will take place to conclude the malay wedding.
