Jogyakarta, Indonesia

I went to Jogyakarta, Indonesia April 2007 for my company event. I stayed in Hyatt Regency Hotel. To go Jogyakarta, I have to transit through Jakarta by MAS. That's before Air Asia opens its route to Jogyakarta.
Actually, there are many main tourist attractions in Jogyakarta. For example, Borobudur the World's largest Buddhist Temple, Prambanan Temple, Dieng Plateau, Mt. Merapi, Sultan's Palace, Ramayana Dance, Javanese Art & Cultures, Museums and more.
Unfortunately, due to the tight event schedule, i was unable to go to the world famous Borobudur temple ( I read about this during my SPM history subject). Borobudur was built in 8th century and located about 42 kilometers in the north of Yogyakarta. This largest Buddhist shrine in the world stands majestically and serene on a hilltop-overlooking lush green fields and distant hills.

When asked about the dome used in most of the places, the locals will say that this is the similarity with the dome in Borobudur temple.

Below are some of the local foods which the locals normally eat. If you wish to buy souvenir for your family and friends, this box of cheese biscuit is the best choice!

If there is a chance, i will choose to visit Borobudur temple one day!
