Food Gossip 3- Best Western Hotel, Chuai Heng , Seoul Korean & Nihon Kai

One day, while i'm getting my hair cut, i read an article about the agflation. What is agflation? Agflation is actually refer to an increase in the price of food that occurs as a result of increased demand from human consumption and use as an alternative energy resource. Which means, the world is in a food crisis that's already boiled over in some places.

Something that we have to aware is we can not waste the food. While we are enjoying food, there are many people out there are starve to death.

i'm always thankful to the God, coz everyday i still have a choice to choose what to eat and what not to.
1) Best Western Pan Pacific Hotel, KL

Once i stepped in to the hotel lobby, this guy is fixing the "kolam". The kolam is placed right at the center of the lobby in conjunction with Deepavali Festival. I believe, it needs a lot of creativities and works to do the kolam. Look closer! They replaced the rice with the colourful fresh flowers. The combination of the colours and the flowers are simply fantastic!

After the meeting, the Director of Sales treated us a sumptuos lunch at the coffee house.

I don't fancy sushi. In fact, i like sashimi. The sashimi here is really fresh and tasty. I ate a lot of sashimi, oysters and dessert.

Ermm..Salmons, my favourite too, ate with wasabi and soy source. There are many health benefits by consuming salmons. The health benefits of salmon include proper cardio vascular health, muscle and tissue development, eye care, effective body metabolism, etc.
Salmon is a species of fish which is found both in fresh water (rivers) and saline water (seas), according the stages of its development. This well known and favorite fish is a very good source of easy digestible proteins (amino acids), fatty acids like Omega-3 Fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. The most important essential from Omega-3 is to reduce the cholesterol level.
The salmons have a peculiar life cycle. They lay their eggs near the mouth of the rivers. The eggs hatch there, develop into fries and start their journey towards seas. They grow in the seas into adult salmons and again go back to the rivers to reproduce, where most of them die after laying eggs.

This is the coffee house in the hotel. They refurnished and renovated most of the sections or outlets in the hotel.
French pastry.

For your starter, you must try this Duck salad, as the combination taste from the duck meat and peach carried out the unique taste in your tongue.

Basically, there are a lot of varieties for you to choose from the buffet lines. Trust me, the taste is really good and the food presentation is really impressive. The Chef is "imported" from France. It's another good experience to dine in a contemporary interior with so many sumptuous food.

2) Chuai Heng Restaurant, Jln Kuchai Lama.
Golden Basin Food is served especially during winter in HK. However, we can find golden basin food in KL too, but the taste is slightly different.

I tasted it in Chuai Heng Restaurant. It costs about RM48.80++ per person. It supposed to be served in basin, not claypot. It contains of scallops, abalone, seabass, mushroom, chicken, carrots, cabbages, prawns, duck meat, fishball and crispy crackers.

No bad comment about the taste, but one thing for sure, it's not suppose to be served in claypot and not suppose to be too watery.
It took about 25 mins to prepare the golden basin food. In the meantime, we can order other side dishes or dim sum.

Chuai Heng Restaurant is no longer located in Kuchai Lama. They have moved out.

3) SEOUL Korean Restaurant, Tmn Desa:
If you like Korean food, you must visit this restaurant in Taman Desa. The price is really reasonable and the food is delicious. What i understand from them, the chef is a korean old lady. She prepares her own home made source and unique recipe. Try it yourself then you will know what i'm talking about.

ou can select a few main courses from the menu. Not too many, because there are many types of tibits or starters are complimentary for diners, and it's refillable.

One must not miss is the BBQ beef. The waiter will prepare the marinated beef and cook it in front of you before its ready to serve.

Another main dish whereby you can wrap the pork with the cabbages and mix it with the home made source.

Look at the side dishes or starters for more than 20 types of it.

This is my favourite. They mixed the vege with vinegar and come with sesame topping.

4) Nihon Kai Japanese Restaurant 日本海 :

4-2, Jalan Telok Gadong, Off Jalan Klang Lama,
3.5 miles 58100 Kuala Lumpur
Tel: 03-7982 3668

This is one of my regular place to enjoy japanese food. The sashimi is fresh and juicy. Normally i will order Unagi set.

I like to eat shasimi with wasabi and soy source.

The sashimi platter is cost about RM59++. My top preference is the fresh salmons.
